Back on dry land, we lingered in the Ferry Building Marketplace. Everything here is impeccable. A Heath Ceramics stall opened here last year. I love all things Heath. I used to work right down the road from the factory in Sausalito. My pattern is "Opaque White", and I don't mind having duplicates, just in case you're buying.
I scooped up an entire shopping bag of these Weck canning jars. Next step: learn to can! Is "canning jar" an oxymoron? Anyway, getting home on Muni was quite a joy with a sleeping baby, a stroller, a diaper bag, a bag of glass jars, and Stella, of course.
Right down the hall from Heath is Miette, a gorgeous candy and pastry shop. We bought Oliver a tiny chocolate bus to reward him for his recent night weaning. NIGHT WEANING! David and Oliver tackled this last weekend and it stuck. What a life-changer!
Cowgirl Creamery stall. David and I have a long-standing love affair with this Point Reyes Station cheesemonger/maker. Unbelievable cheeses!
A beautiful place on a beautiful day.
