stella's room at apartment therapy today!

I've been waiting for this for several weeks, and am excited to say that Stella's bedroom is being featured at Apartment Therapy today!

It was interesting being interviewed for the article, and realizing how little of my formal architectural training informs what I do in my own home anymore. Also answering the question of what I would do  if money were no object. If money were no object, we'd be living on a farm high on the hills of Point Reyes Station overlooking Tomales Bay. But it was really fun and the writer, Richard Popovic has his own Daddy blog called "All Dad, All Day" over here, so check him out!

  1. Congrats! I love the room - especially the branch on the ceiling - what a cool (and free) idea!

  2. Congratulations! So exciting. AT is one of my favorite sites.

Her kitchen is adorable. My favorite shot is the one where's she's chillin on her pretty pillows on the floor.

  3. Thank you both! It has been an exciting day!

I'm not sure if Ohdeedoh included the photos of Stella's brother trashing her room, but those were pretty good representations of what it looks like half the time!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  4. Congrats on the article! Stella's room is lovely, I love the colours (robin's egg blue!). And also the branch (I did a similar thing with a sheer curtain hanging off it as a room divider).
    Happy Thanksgiving!
p.s. Pic of your son doesn't show a trashed room, though he's holding a goldfish and has a bit of a glint of mischief in his eye ;) Very cute.

  5. Hi Sonya,

Thank you, it's been really fun! I saw branch curtain rods over a window recently somewhere and loved them!

I wish they would've used the photo I have at the bottom of my initial blog post. It's so funny. Oliver's gesture is like he's a giant creature coming to destroy a city, and then he does!

    Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
