The weather caused this summer vacation to end with a fizzle, not a sizzle. We are banking on a killer late summer in September and October. The last two days before school started were spent primarily indoors due to the cold, jammied up, as we say, working on our dollhouse and laying low.
David and a friend left on Sunday for a bro-cation at Kennedy Meadows Resort and Pack Station in Sonora for horseback riding and fishing. He was gone three days. We faired pretty well!
I will always look back on this "summer" vacation as one of the most special, lucky, happy and relaxed times of my life. I was so lucky to get to spend these months with our children. I'm so grateful to David for making it happen and insisting that it did.
