The long-snout kettle just gives much greater control in where you pour the water and how fast it comes down. I honestly can taste the difference if I personally use the kettle or not. True story. But, I don't think it is a deal breaker. I think using whatever kettle you heated your water in can be just fine. Thank you for asking! :)Tiffaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12971376426900073057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086416954974464870.post-58666895248502705602013-12-24T19:46:54.059-08:002013-12-24T19:46:54.059-08:00Hi! I normally just use the percolator, French press or the Vietnamese drip, but am open to new ways of enjoying a cup. Merry Christmas all the way from Brunei, by the way!
Azz Othmannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11606272604099859489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086416954974464870.post-64548944153989335712012-02-10T19:21:58.323-08:002012-02-10T19:21:58.323-08:00LOL Good point. I finally tried mochas last year but just a few days ago decided I want to try real coffee. And now you've made this great tutorial so instead of going out for it I think I'll try to make it myself! I'm sure you'll be seeing the results on my blog sometime soon. Good or bad, it will either be a great accomplishment or an amusing coffeetastrophe. Thanks for the tips :DTinygamihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14096847578325121894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086416954974464870.post-14528963670346124122012-02-06T20:20:44.918-08:002012-02-06T20:20:44.918-08:00Same problem with me. But there are times I just crave a big old pot of diner coffee so I can pour five cups throughout the day.Tiffaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12971376426900073057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086416954974464870.post-73865564587936577892012-02-06T20:19:37.829-08:002012-02-06T20:19:37.829-08:00Coffee you can eat....lol!Coffee you can eat....lol!Tiffaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12971376426900073057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086416954974464870.post-79161172428193059812012-02-06T20:18:54.632-08:002012-02-06T20:18:54.632-08:00You're welcome, Ann! Not as exacting as David's method, but the difference it makes in the flavor is indescribable! We, too, bring the French press camping.
The only problem with the pour-over method is that I drink about 5 cups of coffee in the morning and I get impatient.TangledLouhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04771682524596744447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086416954974464870.post-59109610595691011042012-02-06T11:01:21.567-08:002012-02-06T11:01:21.567-08:00We make decent coffee at home (techniform) but our...We make decent coffee at home (techniform) but our camping coffee make is a 10 year old aluminum percolator...
